What is “Overflow”?
-
Overflow options help you communicate to the Box Office if you are willing to pay another price for that quantity of tickets.
When do I do use "Overflow" vs creating another Option?
-
- You should add an “Overflow” if you’re requesting a certain number of seats within one price point, and want to specify a second price point the request can “Overflow” into if necessary.
- You should create another Option if you are requesting a different date.
When should I create a second or third option within a request?
-
-
Creating another another option is best used if you would like to provide the Box Office with an additional date the Client would be willing to attend. From there, you can enter Overflow and additional price point information as needed for those subsequent options.
-
How many options can we place?
- The number of options you may enter vary by venue and by show. You will know the limit when you are no longer able to add any options to the request. In many cases, you will have up to three options.
Can I select multiple price points in one option?
- Yes. Simply click on another price on the map and an additional box with that price will appear on the right-hand navigation bar.
- With each price you select, you will have the opportunity to select overflow pricing if the primary price in that box is not available.
Example: You have a group of 100 tickets and you want to request 50 seats at $119 and 50 seats at $99.
1. Select the price of $119 from the map and input “50”
2. Select the price point of $99 from the map and input “50”.
This will create two boxes, one for each price.
- Note: You may still choose overflow options for each price just in case the Box Office does not have enough seats in the desired price point.
Where do I request comp tickets?
- If comps are available for a show and event date, you’ll be given a box below your price point selections to enter the number of comps you would like.
Are Box Office managers able to confirm sections that I didn't originally request?
-
Box Office Managers will do their best to accommodate the request as you’ve submitted it. If they are unable to do so and need to make changes, they should communicate that to you before confirming the order.
Will the Box Office allow me to choose less than the minimum?
- No, the box office will not normally accept your order less than the minimum.
- However, in the case of buying additional tickets to an existing order, you may submit a request below the minimum as long as you reference the original request ID, and that this new request is an add on.
What do I do if I have a special request that I don’t see while requesting?
- Communicate with the Box Office via message.
How often does the seat map update? Is this real time availability?
- You can see the “Inventory Last Updated” timestamp below the map, while placing a request.
- We do not guarantee availability of seats, even if you see it on the map. Final placements are at the Box Office’s discretion.
- Note: you are not requesting a section, you are requesting a price point. So if you want only one section, no splits, make sure you communicate to the Box Office in the request message.
Is there a way to easily check for a range of dates quickly?
- We have event filters available should you be looking for a specific show time or availability. You can find the filters while placing a new request above the calendar.
- Our calendar is also designed to easily toggle between months and years.
I just submitted a request; can I modify it?
- If you would like to modify, you can submit a “Modification Request” to the Box Office by clicking “Modify” on the Request Detail page.
How can I see my group's seat locations?
- Once an order has been completed, seat locations will be available to you. To view seat location on a completed order, click the “View Seat Locations” button located lower right side of the map when viewing an order.
Please note, the ability to view seat locations prior to the completed status is at the discretion of the venue.
What does “Zone” mean within a request?
- Zone communicates the general section of the theatre where the price is located.
What happens when you update contact or client information?
-
The information will copy across all orders.
