"Inquiry" Seats in Nliven are seats that have been added to a basket but have not yet been purchased, meaning an Order has not yet been created (which moves seats to "Sold" status). A long requested feature has been introduced to allow Nliven Admin App Users to release Inquiry seats/baskets to allow for internal access to those locations. For example, a Box Office User may release an inquiry basket started via the Web sales channel to accommodate a guest who has walked up to purchase seats before a performance.
Pre-Requisites for Feature Utilization
- The ability to access this feature is enabled in User Groups. The feature is toggled on by default for the Admin User Group.
- It is available to users who have access to V2 Edit Event Seat Maps (e.g. Edit Holds, Edit Prices).
To Release an Inquiry Basket
- Identify the basket or seats you'd like to release.
- Open a V2 Edit Event Seat Map (either by navigating from Sell Tickets (Point of Sale) or Edit Prices, Holds, Accessible Labels, or Tags for an Event).
- Hover over the seat(s) and press the “i” key.
- In the Seat Information modal, click “Release Basket”, check the box to confirm, then proceed.
Important Notes
- The Release Inquiry Baskets tool is not available for:
- Saved Baskets
- Baskets associated with the House Seats sales channel
- This feature will also be available at the Sell Tickets map once it is upgraded to version 2 ("V2") in late 2025.
