From the Nliven admin home page, hover over the "Events" tab in the left-hand navigation menu. Click "Event Templates". On the Event Templates page, click "Edit Template" to manage Seat Settings. Choose the “Seat Settings” tab. The Seat Settings tab is used to manage Hold Groups/Holds and create Tags.
Holds
Holds allow you to take seats off open inventory and set aside seats for another use (for example producer seats). Holds and Hold Groups are created and edited at an Account Settings level (Account Settings" → "Seat Settings"). Further details on how to create a hold can be found here: Create/Edit Seat Settings - Holds, Seat Alerts & Sale Types.
Once a Hold Group has been created and Holds have been assigned to Hold Groups they will appear within an Event Template under the “Seat Settings” Tab, by selecting the “Holds” option.
Hold Visibility: To make a Hold Group Visible on a Seating Map, click Edit on the main “Holds” screen and click the eye icon. Changes made here will affect the Holds displayed at the “Maps” tab of the Event Template. Individual or multiple Hold names within a Hold Group can also be made visible by expanding the Group name, by clicking on the small arrow to the left of the Group Name. Click the blue “Save” button to update the Hold Visibility status.
Further details on applying Holds to Event Template Maps are provided in the Create/Edit Price, Hold, Accessible, Tag or Seat Alert Maps in an Event Template page and for individual Events in the Edit Prices, Holds, Accessible Labels, or Tags in an Event page.
To remove an entire Hold Group from view: click the eye icon on the far right-hand side of the page. To remove an individual Hold within a Hold Group from view: expand the drop-down menu for each Hold Group and click the eye icon for the Hold in question. If an eye icon is blue, the corresponding Hold Group or Hold is visible for the Event Template. If an eye icon is grey with a line through it, the corresponding Hold Group or Hold is not visible on the Event Template.
Top Tip : Refresh the page after making changes to Holds or Hold Groups to ensure up-to-date information is carried through to the “Maps” tab when assigning Holds to seats.
Tags
Seat Tags (or Tags) are an additional way of labeling inventory. Tags must be created here to appear on the “Maps” tab of an Event Template and individual Edit Event pages before they can be assigned to seats. To create and manage Tags choose the "Tags" tab under "Seat Settings.”
To create a new Tag: Click "+ New Tag" and enter a name, then hit the blue “Submit” button.
Edit a Tag name: Click the pencil icon on the far right-hand side of the page and change the name.
Apply Tags to seats: Seat Tags can be viewed and applied in the Tags portion of the Event Template "Maps" tab to apply the Tags to all Events created in the future under that Event Template, or on an individual Event page by using the Edit Seat Tags action. Further details on applying Tags to Event Template Maps are provided on the Create/Edit Price, Hold, Accessible, Tag or Seat Alert Maps in an Event Template page, and to individual Events on the Edit Prices, Holds, Accessible Labels, or Tags in an Event page.
Once applied to seats, Tags will be visible when hovering over the seats on the seat map at Point of Sale, but will not be visible to customers buying tickets on the Web. To apply labels to seats that are visible on the Web, use Seat Alerts.
A Promotion can be created that applies only to seats labeled with Seat Tags by setting the “Limit Type” of the Promotion to “Tag.” Further details are provided on the Create/Edit Promos in an Event Template page.
Seat Tags will appear on tickets when "Seat Tag" is added to the Ticket Value Plan applied on the Event Template. More information on how to configure Custom Tickets is available on the Edit Custom Tickets - Ticket Templates & Ticket Values page.
Note: Tags are not applicable to Event Templates in "General Admission Mode." See Create/Edit an Event Template for more information on Event Template creation.
