From the Nliven admin home page, click on the "Account Settings" tab in the left-hand navigation menu. Here you will find the "Accounts Settings" page. Click the "Users" tab.
Users: are people you want to have access to the system. Users can perform various tasks, according to the specific permissions that are assigned to them. For full information on user roles, click here: User Roles in Nliven.
Users Dashboard
On the Users tab Dashboard, each user's First Name, Last Name, Email, Role, User Group, and Partner will be displayed. To update a User's details, click the ellipses button on the right side of the line under Actions, then choose "Edit." This will allow you to edit the User's information (Name, User Group, Role, Partner). Click the blue "Proceed" button to save the changes.
The "Deactivate User" and "Resend Invitation" options can also be found in the ellipses button menu.
To search for a User, click the "Actions" button in the top right-hand corner of the page and then click "Filter." Enter user information in the Search field, or select specific User Roles, User Groups, or Partners, and then click the "Apply Filter" button. Filters can be saved for reuse in the future by entering a filter name in the bottom right text field before clicking "Apply Filter." If a filter is saved, it will be selectable in a dropdown menu on the top left side of the Filter Users popup moving forward.
Create a New User
To create and assign permissions to Users, click on the "Actions" button on the top right-hand side of the page and select the “+Invite User” option.
Enter the following fields:
- First Name
- Last Name
- User Group: Select the User Group they belong to in the drop-down menu. A user must belong to a User Group to appear here. A User Group must be created at the User Groups tab prior to inviting a new user. The User Groups tab can be found under Account Settings. For further details on creating user groups, click here: Create/Edit User Groups.
- Role: Choose the permissions required for the user. Find more details on permissions of specific roles at the User Roles in Nliven page.
- Partner: This field will only populate after selecting one of the following roles: ApiUser, GroupSalesAgent, or OutletSeller. Further details are provided on the Create/Edit Partners page.
After all required fields have been filled out, click the blue "Proceed" button. This will prompt an invitation to be sent to the specified email address from Nliven, so the new User can log in and create a password.
Unlock a User (incorrect password/lock out)
Please note that if a User attempts to log in 4 times with an incorrect password, they will be locked out of the system. They will also be locked out if they try to input the wrong Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) code 4 times (further details on configuring 2FA provided in Create/Edit User Groups page).
- If a user with 2FA enabled is locked out after failed password attempts, they will be able to reset their password, which unlocks them, and then log in.
- If a user without 2FA enabled is locked out after failed password attempts, then they will be able to reset their password, but they will see a message stating that they need to be unlocked by an admin before being able to log in.
An Admin User can unlock a User by accessing the User's record from Account Settings. On the Users tab, find the locked out user and then click "Edit" under the Actions menu to edit the user record. If the User is locked out, then an "Unlock User" button will be available to click under the Authentication section. The User will then be able to change their password via the “Forgot Password” button on the Nliven login page and regain access after resetting it.
An Admin User can also "Remove 2FA Token" if two-factor authentication is no longer required for that User or needs to be reset.
