From the Nliven admin home page, click on the "Account Settings" tab in the left-hand navigation menu. Here you will find the "Accounts Settings" page. Click the "Customer Tags" tab. Check if the Customer Tag you need for an event has already been created. If not, create a new Customer Tag.
Customer Tags: are created to tag a consumer/web customer in your CRM. They are used for memberships, to ensure a Promo can only pick up a tagged membership consumer/web customer and for creating unlimited marketing opt-ins for your consumer purchase flow.
Create a Customer Tag
To create a new Customer Tag: click “+New Customer Tag” in the top right-hand corner of the page.
Enter a “Name” for the Customer Tag and select a “Type”: General, Marketing Opt-In or Membership.
-
For Membership, enter an expiration date.
- For Marketing Opt-In(s), enter a name and select the “type” as a marketing Opt-in. Enter the marketing text you would like the customer to see during the checkout process. Select "Checked" or "Unchecked" to set the default setting for the Tag. This is how the Opt-In(s) will be checked in the purchase flow before the consumer/web customer makes their choice. Select the "Type" of marketing Opt-in. This choice will control whether the tag will be shown in the checkout process or the Ticket Transfer process.
Configure Membership Customer Tags
After creating a membership Customer Tag, the Customer Tag is utilized for the purchase of Memberships and then available to use during an Event Template build for the purpose of assigning Promo/pricing actions to an event that only members will have access to. This Customer Tag is assigned to an Event via a Promo, which is configured by selecting Events → Event Template from the main navigation menu. The Customer Tag will appear within Promos under the Pricing → Promos Tab. For further details, visit the Create/Edit Promos in an Event Template page.
-
Within a Promo, you have the option to “Restrict to Customer Tags”. Only a customer with a specific member Customer Tag will be able to access the promo.
-
For example, when a Bronze membership Customer Tag is assigned to a Promo, and a non-Bronze member tries to purchase the ticket through the web flow, they will see the ticket is unavailable to non-Bronze members.
Visit the Memberships page for more details.
After creating a marketing opt-in Customer Tag, the marketing opt-in can be enabled on an Event Template to appear during the consumer purchase flow. For further details, visit the Edit Event Template - Settings Tab page.
Each Event Template/Event can have unlimited and specifically configured marketing opt-ins.
To display and activate an Event’s Marketing Opt-ins after creation, Select Event → Event Template → Edit Template → Settings → Options.
-
Scroll to the bottom of the page.
-
All the Marketing Opt-Ins that have been created for this account will be displayed here as unchecked.
-
Click “Edit” to select the boxes of the marketing opt-in you would like to appear in the Event’s purchase flow. Click “Save”.
The selected marketing opt-ins will appear on the consumer purchase flow “Checkout” page under “Communications”.
General Customer Tags can be used for the segmentation of customers with specific interests who purchase tickets for an event. Customer Tags are assigned using the Event Template → Settings → Options Tab. For further details, visit the Edit Event Template - Settings Tab page.
