Before assigning PayPal as an option for a venue, a PayPal payment account must be created in Nliven’s Account Settings. Once created, Venues can make PayPal a payment method for their customers.
From the Nliven admin home page, click the "Account Settings" tab in the left-hand navigation menu. Select the Payment tab.
In the “Payment” tab, under the Payment Accounts section, click on the “+New Payment Account” button on the right-hand side of the screen.

Give the New Payment Account a name.

Select Payment Processor, PayPal.

This will activate the screen below.
- Fill in your client-specific details issued by PayPal.
- Client Id: Unique ID obtained from PayPal.
- Client Secret: Client Secret credentials issued by Paypal.
- Merchant Id: A 13-character string of random numbers and letters assigned to you automatically, once you open a PayPal account.
- Is Live System: Tick the checkbox to make the functionality active.
- Click the Blue “Save” button. This will enable the PayPal option to be active in the purchase flow.
Choose Paypal As a Payment Method for Venues
Assign Paypal To A Venue: Once the payment account (above) is created, you can assign the PayPal Payment Method to any venue in your account.
From the Nliven admin home page, click the "Venues" tab in the left-hand navigation menu. Venues assigned to this account will be listed.

Find the Venue you would like to offer PayPal as a payment option.

Click the “edit pencil icon” under the “Actions” column on the right-hand side of the screen.

Under the “General” tab, scroll down the page to the “Payments” section.

Click “Edit” on the right-hand side of the screen.
- The PayPal Account drop-down will allow you to select your newly created PayPal Payment Method.
- Click "Save", on the right-hand side of the screen.
This will activate PayPal as a payment method for the specific Venue.
