This article refers to Ticketure’s 'out of the box' eCommerce solution and the image requirements/suggestions needed for clear/sharp rendering of images, logos for all interfaces. Any variations or custom development or adjustments to this version could impact the below image recommendations.
There are 4 primary areas within the eCommerce build that the client must supply imagery for.
Logo (located in the header)
We have no minimum or maximum dimensions for logos. What we do ask for is the logo in landscape orientation as we find portrait logos (logos where the height of the logo is greater than the width) to be problematic, especially if the difference between height and width is significant. Portrait logos create taller headers and can make the header unreasonably big or to make the logo work in a standard header, the logo unreasonably small.
Therefore, we request a landscape orientated logo (in most cases this is the main logo for clients) in a vector format with transparent background if possible. This file format can be SVG, EPS, PDF or AI and can be supplied at any size as they will scale without loss of quality. The clients in-house design or marketing team should be able to provide at least one of those files. If the previous formats are unavailable, secondary formats that are accepted are PNG or JPG. These secondary formats do not scale well, so if they can be supplied at the maximum size the client has available then we can resize it optimally for the designs.
If the client has a desktop version of the logo and a simplified version for mobile, then the mobile version should be supplied as we can support it. The same requirements apply.
Event Listing Thumbnail (located within an event on event listing and upsell pages)
Our default layout for the event listing page is to have each event displayed vertically one above the other with an event consisting of a left-aligned image, a centered body of text and an action button aligned to the right.
The display size for the Event Listing Thumbnail in this layout is 152 x 152 pixels when displayed on desktop. When the site transitions to mobile (600 pixels and below), the Event Listing Thumbnail display size increases to 568px. Both sizes have an aspect ratio of 1:1. For this image to support retina devices, it needs to be supplied at an ideal size of 1704 x 1704 pixels (3 x the max display size).
Please note the above requirements are for our default event listing page. Any changes to the Event Listing Thumbnail size in the designs will impact upon the size needed.
Event Hero Image (located at the top of an event page)
The display size for the Event Hero Image is 744 x 336 pixels when displayed on a desktop/full screen. When the site transitions to tablet (1000px down to 601px), the Event Hero Image display size increases to 968 x 438 pixels. It has an aspect ratio of 2.2:1.
For this image to support retina devices, it needs to be supplied at an ideal size of 2904 x 1314 pixels (3 x the max display size). This size works across all screen sizes.
Please note the above requirements are the default for our event page. The event page supports any image size and will maintain its aspect ratio. Be warned this can cause very tall images to be displayed, that is why we specify default values.
Confirmation Image (located on the order confirmation page)
The display size for the Confirmation Image is 1432 x 448 pixels. It has an aspect ratio of 3.2:1. For this image to support retina devices, it needs to be supplied at an ideal size of 4296 x 1344 pixels (3 x the max display size). This size works across all screen sizes.
All imagery should be supplied as JPG or PNG, except for logos where the preferred formats are listed. If retina-sized images cannot be supplied, then images must be supplied at the display size at a minimum. Reasonable compression should be applied to imagery before being uploaded to the CMS. This will help improve loading times for users. Any resizing and cropping should be done before uploading to the CMS as at this stage we do not support image editing functionality.
